BMZ Has Manufactured a New Cement Car
OREANDA-NEWS. On May 29, 2007 the pilot 19-3018 cement car has been manufactured by the Bryansk Engineering Plant (BMZ, a Transmashholding member), reported the press-centre of Transmashholding.
The car design is also suitable for plaster, lime, alumina, shruff, etc.
The cement car is to undergo tests to last until this October. The certificate is planned to be obtained in the fourth quarter of 2007 to be followed by batch production of the car.
The 19-3018 car is rather promising for the plant and scheduled for production within a few years to come. The specialists of the Transmashholding Department for sales and trading development believe there is a considerable effective demand for cement cars on the market. As of now, there have been over 10 applications received from large cement manufacturers and carriers.
A total of 90 cars of the type are expected to have been manufactured by the company by the close of 2007.
The Bryansk cement car has better capacity than other such-like cars (0,5-1 t advantage). The car design capacity is 73 tons. The exact figure will be verified by the tests.
Vladimir Sudarev, the BMZ chief designer for car building says the new derivative was created on the basis of the 19-3054 car, though it has a number of specific features.
The cement car has four unloading hatches unlike the six of the 19-3054 car. For better operation safety the car has a divided brake system (unlike the 19-3054 car) with a vacuum valve for pressure control while unloading.
The cement car base is two meters smaller than that of the 19-3054 and totals 7,800 mm. The hatch cover height is up to 4,380 mm and the vertical brace width is 3,240 mm. The 19-3018 is smaller and lighter than the base model.
