The participants of the Forum considered the problem on application of new technologies and opportunities for transformation of postal sector. They also analyzed the examples of successful strategies of postal development in different countries.
According to Abdulla Al Dabus, Director General of Post of the United Arab Emirates the main goal is to get profit, so the United Arab Emirates Post is developing as multibusiness company. The company concentrates high profitable areas of growing market as real estate management, typographic business and financial management. Post offices in the UAE grant over 50 different services. Abdulla Al Dabus noted that structure flexibility and liberty in decision making are of great importance in success.
Derek Osborn, WhatNext Ltd consultant, supported the Director of the UAE greatly. He noted that we should find out and use new opportunities, technologies and new ideas for postal sector development.
