On June 28, 2007 JSC SITRONICS (“Sitronics” or “Company”) (LSE: SITR), a leading provider of telecommunications, IT and microelectronic solutions in Russia and the CIS with a growing presence in other EEMEA emerging markets, announced that its subsidiary INTRACOM TELECOM has signed a ?4,5 million contract with MTEL, a recently established mobile operator in Montenegro, for the deployment of WiMAX network, reported the press-centre of JSC SITRONICS.

The scope of INTRACOM’s contract covers the supply, installation and deployment of WiMAX base stations and user terminals, with the aim of supporting MTEL in offering highly competitive services using innovative, state-of-the-art technologies. This project will be completed over a period of four months. The contract also includes managed services for one year, with an extension option for another three years.

Mr. Zlatko Trhuli, Chief Executive Officer of MTEL, commented: “Our vision is to become one of the most dynamic GSM/3G and WiMAX operators in Montenegro, providing high quality telecommunication services. Thus, we need to invest in partnerships which will enable us to achieve this goal. INTRACOM TELECOM’s previous successful cooperation with Telecom Srbija played a key role during our partner selection process for this project”.
