OREANDA-NEWS. July 13, 2007. During the first half of 2007 EuroChem – Belorechenskie Minudobrenia produced 166,200 tonnes (in natural terms) of solid mineral fertilizers, up 10,5% compared to the corresponding period last year, reported the press-centre of EuroChem.

Compared to the previous year, the production of ammophos grew 24% to over 133,000 tonnes.

Since the beginning of 2007 the enterprise has produced 32,500 tonnes of grade 20:20 sulphoammophos or 63,7% of the level of 2006. The reduction is due to market conditions.

In January – June 2007 the output of sulphuric acid was 231,600 tonnes or 93,5% of the level of 2006.

The output of wet-process phosphoric acid (100% Р2О5) grew to 90,500 tonnes, up 9% from the level of 2006.

In the first half of 2007 the enterprise commissioned its own local waste-water treatment system of 1,000 m3/day capacity, and established the first phase of the on-site distribution center. The distribution center establishment and commissioning of a big-bag filling facility resulted in the increase in the share of domestic shipments of packed products to 70%. During the off-season when no products are sold, up to 40,000 tonnes of fertilizers may be accumulated at the distribution center without interrupting the production. With such inventory, the enterprise is capable of meeting customers' demand more completely during sowing and crop feeding seasons.

Belorechensk fertilizers are in great demand in main agricultural areas of Russia. In the first half of 2007 domestic shipments and shipments to the CIS countries totalled 105,000 tonnes, including 79,900 tonnes of ammophos.

Overall, during the first 6 months of the year EuroChem – Belorechenskie Minudobrenia shipped 218,000 tonnes of solid mineral fertilizers, up 37% from the corresponding period of 2006.
