OREANDA-NEWS. On July 13, 2007 the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Karim Massimov, visited the Karachaganak field as part of a short working visit to the Western Kazakhstan Oblast, reported the press-centre of  KPO.

The head of RoK government met with senior KPO’s shareholder representatives BG Executive Vice-President and Managing Director, Europe and Central Asia, Mark Carne, Eni Deputy Chief Operating Officer Kazakhstan programme, Guido Michelotti, and KPO top management.

During the visit the distinguished guests were shown around the Karachaganak Processing Complex (KPC) and met with the management team of Karachaganak Petroleum Operating B.V. (KPO). During the visit, the KPO General Director, Roger Fox, briefed the Prime Minister on KPO performance as well as further plans for the development of Karachaganak field. KPO’s contribution to the social and economic development of the region was also discussed.
