OREANDA-NEWS. Moscow City Telephone Network, entering the “COMSTAR-UTS” group of companies, starts sales of Internet access services under its own brand in October, reported the press-centre of “COMSTAR-UTS”.

The company is going to offer three non-limit tariffs: "MGTS 128", "MGTS 512" and "MGTS 1024". Moscow citizens will be able to pay for the service on the basis of a credit scheme. MGTS is going to render services on behalf of "COMSTAR-Direct" ltd., entering the “COMSTAR-UTS” group of companies. The service is a part of the Group’s strategy that is aimed at occupying 50% of the Moscow market share in the sphere of broadband Internet by 2011.

According to Sergey PRIDANTSEV, President of “COMSTAR-UTS”, "the MGTS brand is well-known and familiar to the majority of Moscow citizens, and a wire phone in an apartment is as usual as gas, electricity and water. We want to make Internet from MGTS as necessary as our other services. Besides, in Moscow there is still a significant* number of dial-up users who have a possibility to get a quicker access rate for a reasonable price now".

Moscow citizens who would make use of the service "Internet from MGTS" will be able to pay for it in the same way as for other MGTS services on the basis of the credit scheme. Payment for Internet access alongside with voice transmission services will be included in a MGTS united bill that the subscribers get every month. "Non-limit broadband Internet access on the basis of a credit scheme is a unique offer in the Moscow market, – says Alexey GOL’TSOV, Director General, OJSC MGTS. – First of all, it is convenient for a client to make use of the service in the first term and then to pay for it. Now those who haven’t had Internet at home can easily get access to the Net without pre-payment. Another good point is that you have only one MGTS united bill including payment for the Internet, thus one can pay for all telecommunication services".

One can connect to the Internet from MGTS in any subscriber center and directly from home. In subscriber centers MGTS operators will install Internet access service, they will fill in an application and sign a contract. A subscriber also can apply for the service by making a call to the United Contact Centre (495) 636-0-636. One more channel of active Internet access sales is a telephone engineer, who can come to a subscriber and fill in an Internet service application form. 

During 3-5 days after signing the contract all work on a service installation will be done and MGTS specialists will inform a subscriber about it over the phone. A telephone engineer will come to a subscriber with a contract, an ADSL modem and if necessary will install the device and make all computer settings as well as give consultant services. MGTS is going to offer subscribers a modem leasing as well, the service that will cost 26.6 rubles per month.

In case there is a problem, a subscriber can call the United Contact Centre - (495) 636-0-636 Besides, Since September, 15, MGTS as a “KOMSTAR-Direct” dealer (the trademark STREAM) has launched a sale of 1-6 MBs access rate Internet access services in its subscriber centers.
