OREANDA-NEWS. On October 23, 2007 Euromoney Magazine and Ernst & Young jointly awarded UniCredit’s latest renewable energy bond with one of their “Global Renewable Energy Awards 2007”. For the second time in a row a Breeze transaction was selected “Senior Debt Deal of the Year". By means of three successfully launched Breeze issues within the last few years, UniCredit (HVB) has placed more than EUR 1bn on the European capital market to finance renewable energy projects in Europe, reported the press-centre of UniCredit Markets & Investment Banking.

Following the tremendous success of the Breeze transactions, we intend to broaden this instrument to embrace other sources of energy such as geothermal power, off-shore wind parks and solar energy”, commented Dagmar Buhl, Head of Structured New Issues.
