OREANDA-NEWS. November 26, 2007. The Gomel-based foundry Tsentrolit will supply a thousand of lightening supports to St. Petersburg of Russia. The supports will be installed in the Victory Park and Square of Arts of the northern capital of Russia, reported the press-centre of Gomelinvest. 

The sides have already agreed the issues related to the supplies.

St. Petersburg is an old partner of the Gomel casters. The Gomel –based plant has been supplying its products to St. Petersburg for a long time. Last year, Tsentrolit supplied more than 500 tonnes of its products including lightening supports, street benches and ash cans to that Russian city.

Founded in 1963 the Gomel-based foundry Tsentrolit is specialized in production of iron castings. Recently the plant has started to produce sophisticated castings for machine building, machine tool building, automobile construction, transport and communication and also the art casting which is used for urban design. The products of the company meet international ISO 9001 standards. In 2007, the plant received an ecological certificate in line with ISO 14001 environmental management standards.

At present the Gomel foundry Tsentrolit produces 5-7 thousand names of castings. The plant cooperates with 400 Belarusian and 70 Russian companies and also with companies of France, Finland, Hungary, Italy, Lithuania and Latvia.
