Ilim Group Releases Results for January-November 2007
OREANDA-NEWS. December 29, 2007. Over the first eleven months of 2007, pulp and paper output by Ilim Group subsidiaries amounted to 2 mln 362.4 thousand tonnes, 2.1% up as compared with January – November 2006, the company's press service reported. Market pulp output went up 61.6 thousand tonnes (4.5%) to 1 mln 417.4 thousand tonnes. Board production was at 687.8 thousand tonnes, 0.6 thousand tonnes (0.1%) up year-over-year. Paper production totalled 235.9 thousand tonnes, 9.4 thousand tonnes (3.8%) down from the level of the past year.
Pulping went up 42.5 thousand tonnes (1.8%) to 2 mln 312.3 thousand tonnes.
Over the first ten months of 2007, Ilim Group logging companies logged 6.41 million cu metres of wood, 6.6% up year-over-year. Total raw wood supply by the company’s own subsidiaries was at 6 mln cu metres of wood, 7.3% up from the level of 2006. The share of raw wood supply by Ilim Group’s own logging companies was 48.7%. The correlation between inside and outside supply reflects the company’s plan to optimize raw wood supply based on the raw wood markets analysis.
