S7 Training Completes First Stage of 10 Graduates Training
OREANDA-NEWS. January 25, 2007. In January 2008, 10 graduates of Russian summer schools completed the Extended Multi-Crew Cooperation Course stipulated by international standards for subsequent training on the Airbus A320 airplane at the S7 Training Educational Center, reported the press-centre of S7.
S7 Airlines is Russia’s first airline to implement this course as an obligatory condition in the training of young pilots.
The additional training includes one month of theoretical training and 20 hours of flying on the integrated A320 trainer. After completing the course, the participants were transferred to the main training stage. After completing all the training stages, they will be allowed to pilot A320 airplanes operated by S7 Airlines as co-pilots.
“S7 Group has begun practical implementation of an integrated program to develop an aircraft crew training system. This is one of the company’s strategic tasks, and why it is buying the most advanced trainers while attracting and training young specialists,” says Director of the S7 Training Aviation Educational Center Oleg Vasiliev.
S7 Training is the company’s own aviation educational center, certified in 70 areas of training and the continuing education of flight and technical personnel on all the types of aircraft used by S7 Airlines (Airbus A319 and A310, Boeing 737-500/400, Il-86 and Tu-154M). The educational center has one of Russia’s best technical bases and provides the full cycle of training.
In 2007, 300 pilots and 700 flight attendants received training at S7 Training. About 8,000 people received training in various areas at the center during 2007. The educational center has already concluded more than 50 agreements with other Russian and CIS airlines for the training and retraining of their pilots and personnel.
