OREANDA-NEWS. February 05, 2007. The Charity Fund of Rietumu Bank raised money to support concerts of admired Latvian and overseas opera artists. The concerts are devoted to the 10 year anniversary of the Herman Braun Foundation, which has become of a great value to the nation, enriching the Latvian culture with significant events. The concerts will take place on the 11th and 12th of February in the Latvian National Opera, reported the press-centre of Rietumu Bank.

Such world-known artists from the USA, Austria, France, Russia, Germany and Latvia as Inese Galante, Irina Dolzhenko, Gidon Kremer, Inna Davidova, Anatoly Safiulin and Alexey Safiulin, Anzhela Yoffe, Arthur Tcinguev, Vadim Gluzman, Elina Buksha, Intars Busulis, Sergey Eger, Roman Manuilov, as well as “Kremerata Baltica”, “Cosmos”, “Klazz Brothers & Cuba Percussion”, Orchestra of the Latvian National Opera and others will participate in the gala concerts.

Chairman of the Charity Fund and Vice-President of Rietumu Bank Inga Shina notices that Rietumu Bank has been supporting a variety of significant projects in arts and culture for a number of years.  “We have decided to support gala concerts of the Herman Braun Foundation for the reason that it is truly one of the most noticeable and vital event in the cultural life of our country”, Mrs Shina says.

All the anniversary events are being part of first collaborative project of the Rietumu Bank Charity Fund and the Herman Braun Foundation. The Charity Fund also plans to continue sponsoring other major cultural projects, including the cinema forum “Arsenal”, “The Golden Mask” festival, annual prize of the “Diena” newspaper and others.
