OREANDA-NEWS. February 26, 2008.  Within a working visit of Dmitry Medvedev, First Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Hungary, Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee participated in a meeting with Ferenc Gyurcsany, Prime Minister of Hungary.

The parties discussed issues related to the preparation for signing of an Intergovernmental Agreement on the construction of a gas trunkline across the Hungarian territory as part of the South Stream gas pipeline system. It was pointed out that the creation of new gas transportation routes for Russian natural gas supply to European consumers was in line with the interests of both countries.

During the meeting the parties agreed on all crucial provisions of the draft Intergovernmental Agreement, which is to be signed in the nearest future.
