OREANDA-NEWS. On 17 June 2008 was announced, that SLAVINVESTBANK LLC registered amendments to its constituent documents in connection with a name change to BTA Bank LLC.

The renaming is a part of strategic rebranding, whereby SlavinvestBank and its strategic partner banks in 9 CIS countries will have a joint BTA brand pegged to BTA Bank JSC (Kazakhstan) being its core.

Next, BTA Bank JSC (Kazakhstan) buys more than a 51% stake in the charter capital of BTA Bank LLC (Russia) by late June 2008 and the latter becomes its subsidiary bank in Russia. The rebranding campaign yields an international financial brand BTA Bank. The 2015 development strategy provides for BTA key positions in the CIS market and at least 2% of Russia’s banking market. Top priorities for the Bank in 2008 include an expanded chain in Moscow and St. Petersburg that will embrace more than 50 branches and active introduction of technologies and expertise of BTA Group.

The Bank wants to complete redesigning of all its offices by autumn 2008. The unified visual facilities of BTA Bank in all countries of its presence coupled with unique international opportunities will let Russian clients feel customers of their bank in 9 countries.

In the long run, the Group pursues an international banking brand with single BTA logo and unified service standards, products, business principles.

In 2007 aggregate profit of all strategic partner banks of BTA Bank JSC (Kazakhstan) totaled USD 538 million, a rise of 65.6% from 2006.

Aggregate assets in 2007 reached USD 25.5 billion, 47.7% more over the year with equity totaling USD 3.8 billion, which is 2.3 times as much as the 2006 performance.
