OREANDA-NEWS. On 26 August 2008 was announced, that the Rating of Russia's ТОР-300 largest companies has been published by Kommersant-Dengi magazine. According to the rating, Uralkali, with a market capitalization of USD 30,750,500,000 (as of the date of rating), is the largest company in the Russian chemical industry. In the general list of companies, due to a 5.6-fold increase in its capitalization, Uralkali rose during the year from the 31st to the 10th place.

This was the 11th annual rating of the largest Russian companies released by the Kommersant-Dengi. The key criterion for the rating is a company's market capitalization, which is considered to be an evaluation of a company's efficiency by participants of the securities market. A company's capitalization is based on the market value of its shares, as quoted on June 30, 2008, on RTS and MICEX.

The Kommersant-Dengi has also published its other traditional ratings, calculated on the basis of stock exchange quotations and financial indicators for companies. For instance, the volume of trading in Uralkali shares increased during the year more than 35-fold – in the Most Liquid Issuers rating, Uralkali ranks 16th. In the rating of the Highest Issuer Evaluation, Uralkali holds the 5th position, and ranks 11th in the rating of the Most Dynamic Issuers. In the rating of the Most Generous Issuers (calculated based on dividends), the Company holds 20th place.
