OREANDA-NEWS. September 01, 2008. DnB NORD Bankas, a member of dynamic international banking group shall pay higher interest rates on term deposits in Litas, Euro and US Dollars starting 1 September, reported the press-centre of DnB NORD Bankas.

“Taking into consideration the changes on local and international money markets the highest interest rate increase shall be applied for short-term litas deposits and one-year deposits in single European currency”, said AB DnB NORD Bankas, Retail Banking Department Manager Ricardas Butkus.

From the start of September the rates for the term deposits in Litas shall increase by 0.34 percent on average and by average 0.55 percentage point for deposits in Euro. For term deposits in US Dollars AB DnB NORD Bankas shall pay 0.15 percentage point higher interest rate on average.

Like until now, DnB NORD Bankas will continue paying its customers 0.2 percentage point higher interest rates on litas and euro deposits placed via Internet compared to those parked in the outlet. The shortest term to park term deposit in AB DnB NORD Bankas is two days when using the deposit through the bank’s internet banking system and seven days when placing the deposit in the bank’s outlet.
