OREANDA-NEWS. December 22, 2008. JSC “Aeroflot - Russian Airlines” and Czech Airlines within the acting “code-sharing” agreement have started to jointly operate two directions: Prague – Zhilina – Prague and Prague - Skopie – Prague, reported the press-centre of Aeroflot.

Under the terms of the agreement Aeroflot is to receive the access to free sales to the resource of seats of the Czech airlines and the possibility to place the marketing code SU on these routes.

Lines Prague - Zhilina – Prague and Prague – Skopie – Prague will become an addition to Aeroflot’s own flights: lines Moscow – Prague – Moscow, Moscow – Karlovy Vary- Moscow, Samara – Prague – Samara and Moscow – Bratislava – Moscow.

Within the joint operation agreement the JSC “Aeroflot – Russian Airlines” is already placing the marketing code SU on the flights of the Czech Airlines in the directions: Prague – Dublin – Prague, Prague – Manchester – Prague, Prague – Bratislava – Prague, Prague – Samara – Prague, Prague – Koshitse – Prague, Prague – Brno – Prague, Prague – Ostrava – Prague

The Czech Airlines as a marketing partner cooperate with Aeroflot on the flights from Moscow to Irkutsk, Barnaul, Omsk, Kemerovo.

The jointly operated flights on the line: Prague – Zhilina – Prague will be made by Czech Airlines on ATR 42 planes, line: Prague – Skopie – Prague on Boeing 737 planes. Both destinations are popular tourist and business directions among Russian passengers. The extension of the cooperation with the Czech Airlines, partner of Aeroflot in the SkyTeam alliance, is the implementation of the company’s strategy to maximally use the advantages of cooperation within the alliance.

Aeroflot has 33 agreements of joint operation of the flights with foreign and Russian carriers. The development of the cooperation within the “code-sharing” agreements with the airlines – participants of the SkyTeam alliance allows Aeroflot to extend the geography of flights and to offer additional traveling possibilities to the passengers.

Aeroflot’s participation in the global SkyTeam alliance gives the passengers the access to the alliance network, embracing 905 destinations in 169 countries. Convenient docking and joint premium programs for frequently flying passengers with Aeroflot ticket are effective for all the flights of the airlines – memebers of the alliance.
