OREANDA-NEWS. January 26, 2009. TNK-BP has wrapped up a deal with purchasing 2 oil depots and 36 retail sites in Ukraine from the Gepard group of companies. The two oil depots are located in the cities of Obukhov and Vasilkov of the Kiev Region, 25 retail sites in Kiev, and 11 retail sites in the Kiev Region, reported the press-centre of TNK-BP.

13 retail sites operate under the brand of TNK and the rest under the Zolotoi Gepard (Golden Cheetah) trademark.

Currently, TNK-BP wons 50 retail sites in Ukraine, six of which are in the Lugansk Region and the rest in the Kiev Region. Over 200 retail sites in different regions of the country use the TNK brand according to their sublicense agreements.

In the nearest five years, the company is going to increase the number of its own retail sites in Ukraine up to 100 and the number of jobber retail sites in Ukraine up to 300. Kiev, Dnepropetrovsk, and Donetsk are areas of high priority for developing a retail network.

TNK-BP is an international vertically integrated holding. The company was established in 2003 by merging the oil and gas assets of BP in Russia with the oil and gas assets of the Alpha-Access-Renova (AAR) Consortium.
