OREANDA-NEWS. February 04, 2009. Based on the inspection results, the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) initiated an administrative case against a group of persons of "EvrazHolding" Ltd., reported the press-centre of FAS Russia.

Currently FAS Russia is inspecting whether "EvrazHolding" Ltd. operates in compliance with the antimonopoly legislation.

As part of the control procedures under Article 25 of the Federal Law "On Protection of Competition", the FAS Russia's inspection requested the necessary information from "EvrazHolding" Ltd. The company, however, refused to provide the requested information to FAS Russia.

Thus, "EvrazHolding" Ltd. violated Article 25 of the Federal Law "On Protection of Competition".

Such administrative violations are punishable under Part 5 Article 19.8 of the Code of the Russian Federation on Administrative Violations (CоАP).

On 3rd February 2009 a representative of "EvrazHolding" Ltd. appeared before FAS Russia to give explanations with regard to the committed violation as well as to draw up and sign the protocol on the administrative violation.

Under Part 5 Article 19.8 of the Code of the Russian Federation on Administrative Violations, failure to present information (data), specified in the antimonopoly legislation, to the federal antimonopoly body or its regional offices, including failure to present information (data) requested by the antimonopoly bodies, except cases specified in Part 3 and 4 Article 19.8, as well as presenting knowingly false data (information) to the federal antimonopoly body or its regional offices is punishable by imposing an administrative fine upon physical persons - from fifteen to twenty five minimum wages; upon company executives - from hundred to hundred and fifty minimum wages; and upon legal entities - from three thousand to five thousand minimum wages.
