OREANDA-NEWS. On 17 March 2009 was announced, that. the Lviv City Council gave its permission for the H. Stepic CEE Charity Fund to rent the premises on 208 Briukhovytska Str. in Lviv to establish a house for teenage orphans. At this address a center for social adaptation will be created, where teenagers aged 13 to 18 years will be able to live and receive necessary professional training to assist in their prospect self-realization. The concept of this house and similar institutions is to give support to children in need as a starting point for them to learn to help themselves and others in the future.

For the social infrastructure in Lviv it is the first time, when an international charity foundation initiates such a project. The local representative office of the H. Stepic CEE Charity Fund in Lviv will invite employees and customers of Raiffeisen Bank Aval to participate in this effort to ease the life of poor people in Ukraine.

The H. Stepic CEE Charity Fund office — Association for charity projects support in Central and Eastern Europe in Ukraine was officially registered on January, 18th, 2009. Cornelius Granig, Deputy Chairman of Raiffeisen Bank Aval, was appointed as Chairman of this organization.

This charitable foundation was established by the Chairman of the Board of Raiffeisen International, Dr. Herbert Stepic, to take care of teenagers, children and women in need, to help to improve the quality of their life. The H. Stepic CEE Charity Fund on its own or co-operating with other organizations develops and puts into practice social, cultural, educational and public health projects in the countries of Central and Eastern Europe.
