OREANDA-NEWS. On 24 June 2009 was announced, that regular session of the working group on realization of the Technological Village joint Russian-Finnish project in territory of the republic was held in the Ministry of Economic Development of Karelia. The Finnish delegation was led by the project head Tapani Koivula, the Russian party was led by the First Deputy Minister of Economic Development of Karelia Dmitry Bazegsky. Representatives of ministries and departments of our republic and management of NWR Investment Ltd. and Petrozavodsk Business Park, Ltd., have taken part in the session.

Cooperation within the Technological Village project is carried out according to the Protocol on Intentions on realization of the Technological Village industrial complex investment construction project in territory of the republic. The Protocol was signed in August, 2007.

In the opinion of the Finnish partners, interest to the project from the state authorities of Finland and the Finnish business does not weaken. In particular, the state innovative fund TEKES carrying out risk venture investments intends to participate in creation of Technological Village in Petrozavodsk.

In Finland there has been formed a fund from which participants of the project can receive means for realization of project ideas on location of hi-tech enterprises in territory of Technological Village in Petrozavodsk.

Within the scope of the session the working group has also considered issues related to land allotment for the project, coordination of the building lease agreement, construction of engineering infrastructure up to external borders of the plot. The state support of the project according to the investment legislation existing in territory of Karelia was discussed.
