OREANDA-NEWS. September 17, 2009. I.T. Co. has completed the first stage of IT infrastructure reengineering project at the North Caucasian Bank of the Sberbank of Russia. In the course of its work I.T. Co. has updated the basic network resources, implemented single catalogue service based on Microsoft Active Directory and developed new message exchange environment with single address book Microsoft Exchange Server 2007.

I.T. Co. was chosen as the contractor through the tender held by the North Caucasian Bank in 2007.

Common Active Directory catalogue implemented by the company in North Caucasian Bank has inherited all data from the former domains, preserving at the same time the user access to this legacy network resources. Active Directory Service provided the IT staff centralized control over the infrastructure and made it possible to implement access control for various groups of users. Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 will unite over nine thousand workstations and offer a collaboration platform.

Such unification will eliminate the need of using several user accounts and allow for dynamic switching between regular office and protected bank environments. Overall, reengineering of the Bank's IT infrastructure will improve the quality of IT services and expand the possibilities of execution of other projects in development of corporate information systems and standardization of computing environment. According to the Sberbank of Russia Banking Services IT Development and Automation Department Igor Vodyanov, thanks to execution of this IT project the Bank will use versatile workstations that allow for dynamic modification of policies, improvement of the banking services efficiency and quality of client servicing. Today the project is already implemented in the Bank's structural units in Stavropol and several branches in Stavropol region. The project should be replicated in all branches of North Caucasian Bank in the 1st quarter of 2010.
