OREANDA-NEWS. October 6, 2009. Freight One’s Voronezh branch has begun to haul sugar beets from Izberdei and Platonovka stations in Tambov Region. Raw materials for the production of sugar, as well as granulated sugar beet pulp and molasses, are hauled to Nikiforovsky Sugar Factory, one of Russia’s largest refineries.

The branch is expected to haul about 200,000 metric tons of raw materials in September-October of this year.

According to Nikiforovsky Sugar Plant’s Deputy General Director Gennady Gridnev, the gondola cars are being handed over for loading in a timely manner and the rolling stock is properly prepared to transport raw materials for the food industry.
