OREANDA-NEWS. November 19, 2009. United Metallurgical Company (OMK) has received a letter of appreciation from Tatneft for its participation in the project for construction of the oil pipeline connecting Kaleykino Oil Pumping Station to Nizhnekamsk Oil Refinery (NPS Kaleykino-Nizhnekamsk NPZ), reported the press-centre of OMK.

“Tatneft appreciates your efficient and well coordinated organization of work to supply equipment and materials to the facilities of the NPS Kaleykino-Nizhnekamsk NPZ oil pipeline under construction and to rehabilitate the long-distance oil-products pipeline Nizhnekamsk-Almetyevsk-Kstovo,” reads the letter from Tatneft Deputy Director General Fyodor Shchelkov.

The rehabilitation of the long-distance oil-products pipeline Nizhnekamsk-Almetyevsk-Kstovo and the construction of the oil pipeline Kaleykino Oil Pumping Station-Nizhnekamsk Oil Refinery were performed by the contractor Tatneft by order of the customer Transneft.

Under this project, from July through August 2009, OMK supplied 80.5 kilometers of pipes of 530 mm in diameter, 52 km of 720-mm pipes and 32 km of 377-mm pipes. The Company’s share accounted for 50% of the total pipe supply.
