OREANDA-NEWS. January 12, 2010. Volodymyr Lytvyn, Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, referred to the credit unions as "to the form of public deceit". He deems necessary to investigate their activity, as "they deceived millions of people for more than 4 billion UAH and disappeared", reported the Official website portal.rada.gov.ua.
 
He deems necessary to sequestrate property in the ownership of the credit unions and their leaders, deciding what can be immediately reimbursed to the people.
 
V.Lytvyn also deems necessary to prohibit departure of the credit unions leaders from the territory of the country
 
Finally, the State Budget shall envisage means to restore public funds invested to the credit unions, the entire sum being treated as the national debt. 
 
The Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine believes that The Verkhovna Rada shall listen to a corresponding report of the Government and the National Bank of Ukraine. "These bodies bear responsibility for this matter, as they should have secured proper control", - he stressed.
 
"People have been deceived, which testifies of irresponsible actions and obvious support of the persons at fault. These issues shall be immediately settled, otherwise the confidence in the State shall be lost", - V.Lytvyn stated.
