OREANDA-NEWS. April 30, 2010. Following the Azerbaijan-Stavropol Business Forum Kray’s governor Valery Gayevsky said that trade turnover between Stavropol and Azerbaijan had increased 10-fold for the last seven years.

“In 2009 crisis year alone it lowered by about 30%. We face a challenge to bring it up to as minimum the 2008 level when sales turnover was USD212 million and exceed it. For that we have all necessary capacities and I am sure that signing of a relevant agreement will make a reality of this intention,” Gayevsky said.

According to the Stavropol governor, the forum was quite fruitful.

“We knew much about each other, new opportunities opened in different industries, including agro-industrial complex, oil refining and farm sector. We have a great deal of opportunities in humanitarian area and education,” he said.
