OREANDA-NEWS. May 31, 2010. SIBUR has concluded the first deal selling 33 tons of autogas at the Interregional Exchange of Oil and Gas Complex (www.fexer.ru).

The exchange trade of liquefied petroleum gases (LPG) promotes the transparency of the market and helps establish an objective indicator of LPG prices in this country. Moreover, the trading of LPG at the Interregional Exchange of Oil and Gas Complex helps SIBUR to expand the geography of its sales and attract new customers.

As for now, SIBUR offers for sale daily up to 20 lots of autogas (AG), propane-butane technical gas (PBT) and propane-butane technical mixture (PBTM). Gases are sold ex works, at the gas-filling stations and could be delivered to a railway station.

Deputy Speaker of the State Duma lower house of Russian parliament Valery Yazev sent an official government message to SIBUR congratulating the company on the beginning of the exchange trade. He noted that SIBUR has become Russia’s first LPG producer to show a systemic approach to the introduction of internationally recognized instruments of products realization.

SIBUR occupies about 25% of the Russian market of LPG deliveries for domestic needs.  In 2009, SIBUR’s subsidiary, private company Sibur - Gasservice, dispatched 360,000 tons of products on trucks and another 110,000 tons in containers.  The main areas of sale are the Perm territory, Samara, Saratov Penza, Tula, Moscow, Rostov, Nizhni Novgorod, Chelyabinsk, Tyumen and Ulyanovsk regions, as well as republics of Udmurtia, Tatarstan and Bashkortostan.

The Interregional Exchange of Oil and Gas Complex is one of the key institutions that build up the pricing system in a free sector of the Russian market of refined products and petrochemicals.
