OREANDA-NEWS. June 25, 2010. SITRONICS Information Technologies, one of the major system integrators and leading suppliers of solutions and services in the sphere of information technologies in Eastern Europe and CIS countries, announces commencement of the project that seeks to upgrade an integrated structure cabling system of the JSC Mobile TeleSystems (MTS) offices throughout the Moscow Region, reported the press-centre of SITRONICS IT.

As part of the scheduled upgrade of the MTS data communication network bids for the performance of complex works to audit the SCS status, develop recommendations for the re-equipment of the network, replacement of equipment and network components were invited. System upgrade also aimed at designing and mounting of new user workplaces. The project design works for SCS upgrade were initially to cover more than 100 Moscow MTS offices. Following the results of the open bidding, SITRONICS Information Technologies Company, whose bid had been recognized as one that satisfied the requirements of the customer to the fullest extent, was chosen to be a contractor. The key criteria of an integrator selection were broad experience in implementation of the SCS upgrade projects on the telecommunications market, high qualification of the engineers and availability of all the necessary competences and certificates of the SITRONICS Information Technologies project team.

As part of the first stage of the project, specialists of SITRONICS Information Technologies carried out an audit of the SCS status in the MTS offices. In accordance with the developed recommendations, a re-equipment and replacement of cabling system components, active network equipment upgrades in 40 Moscow offices of the mobile operator were made. All the equipment, installed in the course of the project, meets international standards and is used in accordance with them.

Telecommunications infrastructure upgrade is gradually becoming a more and more important issue for many companies, SITRONICS Information Technologies specialists believe. “SC systems that are quite often mounted during the construction, are in many respects unable to satisfy the growing needs of business,” Sergey Nazarenko, head of Engineering Systems Department of SITRONICS Information Technologies in Russia. “In this regard, the key priority is up-to-date re-equipment of the system, use of more powerful, reliable and durable component parts, which became the MTS project’s key task.”

“Engineering and IT specialist teams of SITRONICS are familiar with the requirements and corporate standards of MTS. We have long been working in close collaboration in the sphere of IT infrastructure development, engineering system design and integration,” Dmitriy Zinenok, Deputy Director of Information Technologies of MTS Russia, comments. “We expect that the SCS upgrade work complex under implementation meets high quality standards and is carried out within strict time limits.”

MTS standard in the sphere of structured cabling systems is the equipment manufactured by SYSTIMAX Company, world SCS market leader and a member of CommScope Corporation. Since 2007 SITRONICS Information Technologies has been an official partner of SYSTIMAX and is actively developing a practice of deployment, adjustment and maintenance of Systimax Solutions products.
