OREANDA-NEWS. July 09, 2010. Standard & Poor's Ratings Services said that it had affirmed its 'B-' long-term and 'C' short-term counterparty credit ratings on Uzbekistan-based Kapitalbank.

At the same time, S&P removed the long-term rating from CreditWatch, where it was placed with negative implications.

The outlook is negative. The negative factors are partly offset by Kapitalbank's good brand recognition and geographic presence in Uzbekistan; acceptable core business performance; and a historically high, albeit potentially volatile, share of liquid assets.
