OREANDA-NEWS. December 28, 2010. TNK-BP and the Government of the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Region have signed a long-term cooperation agreement aimed at further developing their mutually beneficial cooperation and constructive partnership. The document was signed by Natalya Komarova, Governor of the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Region, and German Khan, Executive Director of TNK-BP.

The agreement foresees cooperation of the parties in replenishment of the resource base, implementation of environmental protection and energy-saving projects, development of scientific and industrial potential of the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Region, and other fields. The document outlines the company’s committments for financing of charitable and sponsorship projects in the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Region and its municipal districts and stipulates allocation of approximately 160 million rubles by the company for these purposes.

The agreement signed today comes as natural continuation of the longstanding cooperation between the Government of the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Region and TNK-BP for further sustainable social and economic development of the area. The Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Region remains to be the main production region of the company, and contribution to its social and economic development is one of the highest priorities of TNK-BP in its cooperation with the administration of the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Region.

TNK-BP has spent nearly 12 billion rubles in the last 10 years for implementation of social programs in the framework of previous cooperation agreements. In the same period, the company contributed 825 million rubles for implementation of charitable programs in the autonomous region and its municipal districts.
