OREANDA-NEWS. January 4, 2011. PAO KB PrivatBank has become an absolute leader of the Ukrainian banking system in respect of customers trust level according to the research “The Ukraine's Most Reputable Companies”.

The global financial crisis has only strengthened trust in national banks. The results of the Ukraine's largest companies' reputation research “The Ukraine’s Most Reputable Companies” proclaimed in Kiev on Tuesday prove it. The study was carried out within the framework of the international project “The World's Most Reputable Companies” that is conducted in 38 countries world-wide. In contrast to the global tendencies according to which one can see IT companies and telecommunication giants among the most trusted companies, in Ukraine the reputation of the banking sector showed the biggest growth. And the financial market leader PrivatBank has become

the first Ukrainian Bank to join the top 3 of most trusted companies by the public and it has become the most reputable company among the national banks.

“The results of our annual reputation research of the largest Ukrainian companies show that the biggest growth of public trust has been achieved by the banks: the total annual reputation level has increased by 9 points compared to the previous year,” said Aleksey Chuev, marketing director of the Reputation Capital. “PrivatBank has demonstrated an exceptional improvement of its corporate reputation gaining 18 points during the preceding year and thus allowing it to take the third position out of the Top-10 “The Ukraine’s Most Reputable Companies” ranking.

In order to perform the Ukrainian research carried out by the company Reputation Capital - an official representative of the Reputation Institute, 30 leaders in 9 economic industries were selected in the year 2010. Three top positions of “The Ukraine's Most Reputable Companies 2010” were taken by Roshen, Kyivstar and PrivatBank. The reputation index of PrivatBank has reached a record-breaking level – 74,41 points. In average the trust level in Ukrainian companies has grown by 5 points in comparison to 2009. This result indicates recovery of Ukrainians' confidence in business after the global financial crisis of 2008.

“Trust of bank's customers or companies is tested during critical moments, not during a market rise. High indicators of reputational trust in our bank have been reached due to the fact that we were almost the only bank with stable performance during the crisis and we did not let our customers down during the times of the last three global financial crises,” said Alexander Dubilet, the chairman of the board of PrivatBank.
