OREANDA-NEWS. February 09, 2011. Belarus’ Finance Ministry has posted a republican budget deficit of 3.99 trillion Belarusian rubles (Br), or 2.4% of the gross domestic product (GDP) in January-December 2010, an official with the Finance Ministry stated.

The republican budget indicates spending and revenues of the central administration, whereas the consolidated budget also includes local budgets.

Republican budget revenues amounted to 30.3 trillion rubles in January-December, or 101.2% of the adjusted target for the whole year.

Revenues from foreign economic activities amounted to 5.8 trillion rubles, 98.5% of the target for the year, from the profit tax 3.3 trillion rubles, 100.2% of the target, from the value-added tax 11.8 trillion rubles, 103.4% of the target.

Republican budget expenditures reached 34.3 trillion rubles, 98.7% of the target for 2010.

Expenditures on welfare, science, culture, healthcare, mass media, sports, education, etc. amounted to 6.7 trillion rubles, 99.6% of the target for 2010, national economy expenditures were at 8.7 trillion rubles, 97.3% of the target, and general state expenditures at 14.3 trillion rubles, 99% of the target.

Budget arrears amounted to 32 billion rubles as of January 1, 2010. down 26.7% from January 1, 2011.

Republican budget revenues had been projected at 29.932 trillion rubles, and expenditures at 34.712 trillion rubles. Budget deficit had been expected at or below 4.78 trillion rubles.
