OREANDA-NEWS. February 21, 2011. Chairman of the Alfa Group Consortium’s Supervisory Board Mikhail Fridman joined the Domestic and Foreign Investors Council of Ukraine, reported the press-centre of Alfa Group.

President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych became Chairman of the Council. In addition to Mikhail Fridman, 27 other domestic and foreign businessmen and top managers joined the Council.

The Domestic and Foreign Investors Council is an advisory and negotiation assembly established by the President of Ukraine in September 2010. It aims to support attraction and efficient utilization of domestic and foreign investments in order to bolster economic development of Ukraine and intensify its integration into European and World economic systems.

Alfa Group Consortium is one of Russia’s largest privately owned financial-industrial conglomerates, with interests in oil and gas, commercial and investment banking, asset management, insurance, retail trade, telecommunications, media, water supply and water disposal, as well as other industrial-trade and special-situation investments.
