OREANDA-NEWS. February 21, 2011. Prime Minister Vlad Filat met the founder of the Endava company and representative of the Angello Capital Partners investment fund, Norman Fraser. Attending the meeting were also the government's secretary-general, Victor Bodiu, and a representative of the Compudava foundation, Vasile Nedelciuc.

Filat thanked the representatives of the Compudava foundation for the 3,000 computers provided to Moldovan hospitals and schools, noting that the Moldovan government is interested in the resumption of these assistance projects.

The premier noted that Moldova needs investments and urged Norman Fraser to further invest in the country's IT sector. He added that Moldova also needs high-skilled IT specialists.

The government's secretary-general, Victor Bodiu, said that Moldova is the first country chosen by the World Bank for the implementation of the e-government programme. He gave assurances that in the nearest future the authorities will launch several public electronic services for the citizens' benefit.

Norman Fraser thanked Vlad Filat for the meeting, highlighting his interest in close cooperation with the Moldovan government. He noted that the IT sector has good prospects and that Moldova has a great potential in this respect.
