OREANDA-NEWS. April 22, 2011. A meeting with the representatives of Arabian aircompany Air Arabia took place at the airport Novosibirsk Tolmachevo.

The negotiations about the opening of regular Sharjah – Novosibirsk – Sharjah flights have been conducted during the visit of the representatives of low-cost Arabian air carrier. The company is intending to open the route and operate the regular flights in September 2011. Steady increase of Russian tourist traffic to the resorts of the United Arab Emirates as well as business relations between Siberia regions and the UAE render this route very prospective.

During the meeting the Parties discussed the question concerning the ground handling of low- cost aircompany Air Arabia at the airport Novosibirsk Tolmachevo. As low-cost carriers are aiming at utilizing their aircraft fleet as fully as possible on revenue-earning operations and not idling on airfields, the airport should ensure passengers boarding and deplaning and also aircraft ground handling during minimum time.

Note: Air Arabia is the first largest low-cost airline of the Middle East and the member of Air carrier Association in Arabian countries. The company operates regular flights to more than 40 directions of the Middle East, North Africa, Indian subcontinent and Central Asia. The base airport is the airport Sharjah. Aircraft fleet consists of A-320. The air carrier operates regular flights from the United Arab Emirates to Kazakhstan, Armenia and Ukraine.
