OREANDA-NEWS. May 19, 2011. The 2010–2011 heating season results were discussed within the framework of the executive session hosted by the Krasnoyarsk city administration office and chaired by Mayor Petr Pimashkov. Currently, there are no plans for the heating season termination in the city. According to weather forecasts, the warm weather having set in will be followed by a temperature drop.

Heating in Krasnoyarsk shall not be shut off as yet. The decision was taken by the city Mayor Petr Pimashkov within the framework of the executive session dedicated to summarization of milestone results of the heating season. The underlying reason is the unfavourable weather forecast for the coming week. According to meteorologists, a sharp temperature drop will occur during May 17–23; consequently, the exact date of the heating season termination will be determined later on.

As of today the current heating season has lasted for 238 days already. For comparison: the previous heating season was the longest one in this decade. 254 days long, it was over only as late as May 26.

The session participants additionally noted absence of serious failures and interruptions in supply of heat to the city residents during the current season. The Krasnoyarsk Mayor’s Office qualified this heating season organization as “satisfactory”.
