Background

To respond to the special needs of users who employ their mobile phones as a business tool, including support for the global expansion of businesses and robust security features, Fujitsu has developed the E09F mobile phone for corporate users with the aim of making it the future standard for business mobile phones.

E09F supports au's GLOBAL PASSPORT GSM/CDMA services, which enable the mobile phone to be used outside Japan. In terms of areas with GSM coverage, the mobile phone supports voice communications in 197 countries and regions, and packet communications such as e-mail and EZweb can be used in 153 countries and regions(5). With regard to areas with CDMA coverage, the E09F supports voice communications in 20 countries and regions(6), and packet communications such as e-mail and EZweb can be used in 13 countries and regions(7).

To reduce the risk of information leaks when in use, the mobile phone includes a number of security features that are essential for business, including screen lock functionality. In addition, E09F is equipped with a feature that can remotely lock the mobile phone and delete address book, e-mail, and other data in the event that the mobile phone is lost. As a result, important business information can be safeguarded with certainty.

Moreover, as the E09F is IPX5/IPX7 water-resistant, business travelers do not need to be concerned when they are using the mobile phone and get caught in the rain.
