Earlier, China Banking Association presented awards to Chinese banks that have demonstrated outstanding achievements at the "A Ten Thousand Mile Walk to Financial Knowledge" Campaign. ICBC was selected for the Best Organization Award in recognition of the Bank's outstanding effort for organizing a series of creative activities, reported the press-centre of ICBC.

The China Banking Association Campaign "A Ten Thousand Mile Walk to Financial Knowledge" represents a series of nationwide activities organized by China Banking Association's Consumer Protection Commission under the leadership of China Banking Association. With an aim to create a harmonious relationship with financial consumers and good financial ecological environment, the Campaign underscores China Banking Association's mission "Protect and Educate the Depositors and Financial Consumers" to increase the financial literacy of the public.

ICBC, being the first Chairman Bank for the First Session of China Banking Association's Consumer Protection Commission, placed top priority on this campaign. The Bank has organized a series of activities: Financial Literacy Week, Financial Consumers Survey Week, Consumer Protection Seminar, Financial Literacy in West China Month, Financial Literacy in Community Month, and Financial Management Education for Youngsters Month. During the activities, ICBC summarized the experiences in a bid to push the events further. At the same time, ICBC focused on service improvement and financial security, created a harmonious relationship with financial consumers and was well appreciated by all.
