OREANDA-NEWS. February 28, 2012. Retail trade turnover of Uzbekistan reached 28.357 trillion soums in 2011 or increased by 16.4% compared to January-December 2010, the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan said.

In the structure of retail trade turnover the share of food products was 49% and that of non-food products – 51% (in 2010 – 48.4 and 51.6% respectively).

In January-December 2011, the retail trade turnover of trade enterprises reached 11.342 trillion soums or increased by 7.3% year-on-year. In the structure of the retail trade the turnover of trade enterprises was 40%.

In the total turnover of trade enterprises, the share of the retail trade turnover of trade enterprises in the rural area was 25.6%.

The sale of agricultural products and livestock in dekhkan markets has increased by 33% and reached 11.27 trillion soums. The share of sales in the retail trade turnover was 39.7%.

The goods turnover of commodity and specialized markets was 5.745 trillion soums or 8% higher than in January-December 2010. The share of the informal sector in the total volume of goods turnover was 20.3%.
