OREANDA-NEWS. March 22, 2012. Gazprom Neft has more than tripled its network of filling stations in Nizhny Novgorod Region. The company has purchased 25 stations, which formerly operated under the Volga-Petroleum and Oil Optima-7 brands. With the acquisition of these new stations, Gazprom Neft has expanded to 36 locations in the region.

The company's network of filling stations in Nizhny Novgorod Region is run by its subsidiary Gazprom Neft Nizhny Novgorod. At the present time the newly-acquired stations are undergoing reconstruction and are being brought up to the brand standards of the Gazprom Neft retail network.

The company's sales strategy involves expansion to 2,100 filling stations by 2020. At present, Gazprom Neft's network in Russia and the CIS comprises of over 1,200 stations.

“Gazprom Neft is constantly implementing its long-term sales development strategy, which involves strong growth in retail and an increasing presence in major regional markets. The expansion of the network of filling stations in Nizhny Novgorod Region makes it possible to increase the proportion of the Volga Federal District in the overall regional sales structure of the company”, noted Gazprom Neft Regional Sales Director Alexander Krylov.
