OREANDA-NEWS. March 22, 2012. Pursuant to the company’s accounting report, NPO Saturn OJSC has tallied up the results of its operation in 2011.

The overall NPO Saturn product sales revenue in 2011 reached 10.5 bln. rubles, having demonstrated a 7.9% increase compared to the revenue volume of 2010.

The optimization of the company’s operations and further implementation of the company-tailored anti-crisis program allowed to reach a positive net profit indicator in 2011 in the amount of 53.3 mln. rubles vs. the loss generated in 2010 in the amount of 1.5 bln. rubles.

Stabilization of the company’s financial standing and increase in its operational performance led to an increase in wage rate by 18.1% in 2011 whereas production output per one employee increased by 23.1% compared to the year-on-year indicator. For 2012 the company has planned and already started implementing specific actions allowing for a continued increase of an average salary by 14.3%.

The anniversary year for NPO Saturn (95 years since founding) – 2011 was highlighted by many events crucial to the company. Among the most significant – start of revenue service by the airlines of the Sukhoi Superjet-100 aircraft powered by the SaM146 engines, demonstration to the broad public of the HJT-36 powered by the AL-55I during the AeroIndia-2011 air show, inauguration of a new Saturn subsidiary Saturn – Tooling Plant CJSC chosen as an ODK competence center for production engineering. In 2011 the total in-service operating time of the GTD-6RM engines had reached a historical value of 1 000 000 hours.

Another important result of the company’s intense work in 2011 is the fact that NPO Saturn had managed to prepare and sign a number of long-term contracts which will allow for the growth of the volume of production and revenue for the next few years.

The chief executive officer of NPO Saturn Ilya Fedorv noted that ‘in 2012 the company will be primarily focused on institutionalizing the necessary internal transformations that would provide for gradual growth of the production volume which is already planned for 2012 as 131.7 % compared to the year-on-year indication’.
