OREANDA-NEWS. March 22, 2012. A working meeting between the governor of Yaroslavl region Sergey Vakhrukov and the chief executive officer of NPO Saturn Ilya Fedorov took place at the city hall of Yaroslavl region.

Sergey Vakhrukov as a member of the NPO Saturn board of directors highly appreciated the company’s performance demonstrated in the annual accounting report for 2011 while emphasizing the increase in sales revenue by 7,9% to the year-on-year volume and the achievement of a positive net profit value in the amount of 53,3 mln. rubles compared to the loss generated in 2010 in the amount of 1,5 bln. rubles as well as a 23% increase in the per capita labor output and an 18% increase in wage rate.

A special subject of the meeting was the discussion around the execution by NPO Saturn of the state defense order and ramping up of the production rate of the SaM146 engines for application on the Sukhoi Superjet 100 regional aircraft.

Ilya Fedorov informed the governor that presently all the state defense order contracts have been entered into with NPO Saturn, that the first set of advance payments has been received by the company while the production under this order launched ahead of schedule makes it possible to fully honor all the customer commitments for 2012 well in advance.

As far as the realization of the Russian-French SaM146 program is concerned, the company is now faced with a very ambitious goal of increasing the rate of the SaM146 engine serial production. Pursuant to the agreement reached with the Sukhoi Civil Aircraft Company, NPO Saturn has taken on a commitment to deliver 48 engines to its customer to be installed on the SSJ100 aircraft. Sergey Vakhrukov gave a positive evaluation to the proposed production rate for the new serial engine being two engines a month at this point and increasing to eight engines a month by the end of 2102. By the end of March NPO Saturn is to deliver three SaM146 engines to its customer.
