OREANDA-NEWS. June 15, 2012. The Federal Service for Technical and Export Control of Russian Federation has granted the JSC Techsnabexport (TENEX) two general licenses: for export of uranium products under the HEU-LEU Contract, and for export of uranium products under commercial contracts to the UK, Germany, France, China, Republic of Korea and the USA. Both licenses entered into force on March 26, 2012 upon expiry of two previously issued licenses. Meanwhile the export license for deliveries under the Russian Federation-United States HEU-LEU Agreement expires on January 14, 2014 coincident with the termination of the twenty-year contract signed between the United States Enrichment Corporation (USEC, Inc.) and TENEX on January 14, 1994.

The term of the general license for export of uranium products under commercial contracts is tied up with the validity of the certificate issued by this regulator on state accrediting of TENEX as the entity that has established an inter-company program for export control that expires in September 2016.

Earlier the Federal Service for Environmental, Technological and Nuclear Supervision has granted TENEX a license giving the right to handle nuclear materials during transportation valid through January 31, 2017.
