OREANDA-NEWS. June 18, 2012. North Caspian Operating Company B.V. (NCOC), together with Agip KCO, the agent company responsible for Phase I of the Kashagan project, hosted a ceremony today to handover four pieces of equipment to a hospital in Atyrau under the Consortium's Sponsorship & Donations (S&D) programme.

Opening the S&D handover event on 12th June, Regional Director Rustem Ilyassov said: "Today ahead of the Health Workers Day, we are handing over four pieces of equipment with a total value of 4 400 000 KZT to the infectious hospital of Atyrau. This is a sign of the Consortium's continued commitment to supporting local communities and the health care sector, in particular. I would like to congratulate you all on your professional holiday and hope you will be putting the equipment to good use."

"I am proud to announce that in 2011 the Consortium sponsored 104 S&D projects, with a total value of about 213mln tenge, and we expect to spend a similar amount this year as well," he added

Attending the event were representatives of NCOC and AGIP KCO and health authorities of Atyrau Region. During the ceremony at the Regional Infectious Diseases Hospital, the Consortium handed over:

The consortium's S&D programme is focused on economic sustainability and welfare, health, education, culture, cultural heritage, sports and the help to the underprivileged. Funds are equally split between Atyrau and Mangistau oblasts.
