OREANDA-NEWS. August 28, 2012. Belarus’ gross domestic product (GDP) expanded 2.8% on the year in January-July 2012 to 264.8 trillion Belarusian rubles (USD 31.9 billion at the central bank’s exchange rate), an official with Belarus’ National Statistics Committee told reporters.

Industrial output in January-July 2012 increased 8.6% on the year to Br370.3 trillion (Br8,340/USD 1).

Farm output rose 12.3% to Br48.6 trillion.

In 2011, Belarus’ GDP grew 5.3% on the year to 274.3 trillion Belarusian rubles. Industrial output amounted to 337 trillion rubles, up 9.1% on the year. Farm output increased 6.6% to 56.7 trillion rubles.
