OREANDA-NEWS. September 05, 2012. Onex Corporation ("Onex") (TSX: OCX) today announced that it has established a strategic partnership with Neil Fiske to strengthen its retail expertise and broaden its investment opportunities in the sector.

 “Industrial partnerships have served us well. Our building products and gaming partnerships have led to several proprietary opportunities, including our investment in JELD-WEN last fall,” said Gerald W. Schwartz, Onex’ Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. “We are pleased to partner with Neil, a retail veteran, to support continued growth of our investing activities.”

 Prior to partnering with Onex, Mr. Fiske was CEO of multi-channel retailer Eddie Bauer, where he led the successful turnaround and restructuring of the business. Previously, he was CEO of Bath and Body Works. Mr. Fiske’s career also includes 14 years at The Boston Consulting Group, where he was a Partner in the retail practice and co-authored “Trading Up: The New American Luxury.” He has been awarded Retailer of the Year and Marketer of the Year by Women’s Wear Daily.
