OREANDA-NEWS. January 30, 2013. Traffic interchange, overpass, service roads and pedestrian underpasses are to be built at the intersection of Novoyasenevskiy Avenue and Profsoyuznaya Street. Street and road network draft project was approved by the meeting of the Moscow City Administration on December 4.

Sergey Sobyaninov, Moscow Mayor, pointed out that the intersection of Novoyasenevskiy Avenue and Profsoyuznaya Street is the biggest problem of the south-west part of Moscow. Two-level interchange is expected to improve the situation. In addition, the transport and planning project envisages the construction of a new road between Tyopliy Stan Street and Profsoyuznaya Street.

The project will be implemented in three stages. Stage I will focus on the construction of two lateral passages along Profsoyuznaya Street for the surface passenger traffic. Stage II involves the construction of the overpass Region to Center straight along Profsoyuznaya Street. Stage III envisages reconstruction of Novoyasenevskiy Avenue and Profsoyuznaya Street with two pedestrian underpasses and reconstruction of the existing underpass.

According to Andrey Antipov, Chairman of Moscow City Architecture Committee, this sector of the street and road network is included in the 2013-2015 Targeted Investment Program. The project was approved by the residents of Yasenevo District and Tyopliy Stan District at public hearings.
