OREANDA-NEWS. Belarus’ output of all mineral fertilizers grew 5% on the year in January-March 2013 to 1.624 million tonnes, a representative of Belarus’ Statistics Committee told.

The output of potash fertilizers grew 5.7% on the year in January-March to 1.342 million tonnes, of nitrogen fertilizers went up 2.7% to 221,700 tonnes, and the production of phosphate fertilizers went down 1.4% to 60,600 tonnes in the period.

Chemical fibre and filament production reduced 5.3% to 52,800 tonnes.

Combined output of Belarus’ chemical and petrochemical industry went up 16.2% on the year in January-March 2013 to 12.305 trillion Belarusian rubles (Br) in monetary terms (USD 1.424 billion at the NBB rate).

Inventories of chemical and petrochemical companies were at 56.7% of the average monthly output, or 2.051 trillion rubles (USD 237.384 million).

Mineral fertilizer inventories reduced 56.2% on the month as of April 1, 2013, down to 13,400 tonnes.
