OREANDA-NEWS. JSC TGC-1 has summarized the results of heating season on CHPPs which provides heat to houses and businesses in St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region.

For 200 days CHPPs gave consumers a 7.3% of the thermal energy more than in the previous period. Useful heat output was 14 286.5 thousand Gcal. Electricity generation in comparison with the heating season 2011 - 2012 increased by almost 8% to 10,130 million kWh. This was due to the power of new units at Yuzhnaya, Pervomayskaya and Pravoberezhnaya CHPP.

While preparing for winter season at all stations of TGC-1 were carried out the necessary repair and maintenance work. "All the CHPPs adhered to established modes of traffic services. The level of reliability allowed to provide the load requested by energy system in a period of low temperatures in December 2012 and March 2013, — said the chief engineer of JSC TGC-1 Sergey Laputko. — In addition, in this season TGC-1 completed switching the CHPPs to water from urban networks. As a result, the quality of hot water at the consumer has improved significantly".

For repairs in 2012 JSC TGC-1 has sent more than 3 billion rubles. 5 turbine units, 2 hot water boilers and steam boilers repaired. In 2013, the company plans to complete 18 capital and medium repairs of main equipment of the stations located in St. Petersburg and Leningrad region.
