OREANDA-NEWS. China Eastern Airlines launched an international fight to Jeju, Korea, from Hefei Xinqiao International Airport on August 5, with several other flights to domestic tourist destinations being planned.

With the coming peak tourist season, the airlines decided to add tourist flights to the existing service. In April 2013, the Anhui branch of China Eastern Airlines developed a route between Hefei and Jeju with tourist agencies, allowing tourists to arrive within two hours.

Thanks to the popularity of the route and the openness of Hefei Xinqiao Airport, the flight officially went into operation at the airport on August 1. The flight takes off from Hefei every Thursday and Sunday. There are no seats available on the flight before August 20.

Considering the market conditions of airlines in Anhui, the Anhui branch of China Eastern Airlines is planning to fly several extra flights to domestic scenic areas like Wuyi Mountain.
