OREANDA-NEWS. September 10, 2013. Ukraine has studied the experience of leading space countries and will use it developing its own concept of the development of the space industry.

This was started by Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Yuriy Boyko in an interview with 5 Channel.

"We’ve monitored the experience of all space countries and now we are looking for a niche that to be most effective for us; whether it will be manned spacecraft or launch of satellites or multi-stations that to be in orbit for months. We are developing this strategy," Vice Prime Minister said.

According to him, it is important for Ukraine is not only to keep the existing potential in the space industry, but also to expand participation in space programs.

Vice Prime Minister stressed that space projects being implemented by Ukraine, enhance its image as a space power, while increase revenues in the economy.

"This is an image and a profit. What is the Dnipro Program? This is a missile, former military missile, which used its term. You could simply destroy it, but it can be used for peaceful purposes, to put a satellite in orbit, which will bring benefits to people. What is the Zenit rocket? It is 2 stages of our own production. This jobs, payment for their production," Yuriy Boyko said.
